Thanks for the informative review! After reading the wonderful things that passive preamp can do, I just couldn't wait anymore and got myself a Channel Islands VPC-1 passive preamp today to try out with my Plinius SA102. This little thing met my budget and I would definately try out the LW-1 one of these days!
