I just read Clive Meakins review of the Ladyday 91 with much interest. I second Clive's finding in general and when comparing the LD91 to the LD MU (His Billie's). I own both the LD91 & LD MU, also an ultra premium version of the Ladyday SRPP. I have nicknamed them the "Cherry Specials" or LD SRPP-CS. You will have to contact Brian for details. What I can reveal IMNSHO, also using the Django & Bastanis Prometheus Open Baffles, is that the Ladyday Cherry Specials presents an even superior presentation of the soundstage. That is if you crave ultimate detail and openness in a 300B amp. If the MU places you on the edge of your seat the CS drives you clear out of your seat and onto your feet. The entire room is literally flooded with imaging well outside the reach of both the MU or 91 circuit. Top Music's, Starker Does Kodally, had both my wife and cat piling into the room to see who was playing the live cello. They both sat mesmerized by the sound.
I call this effect "liquid audio" a very rarified occurrence in hi-end audio. (Try as I might I could never get the MU or 91 to get wet). Along with the above mentioned ingredients you will need top notch source, interconnects, and power cords to drink from this well. The smallest imbalance in your system and the illusion will diminish back to regular killer sounding music. Hardly a bad thing, but defiantly not liquid. Even without top notch gear, the LD CS's are simply found further down the path from the LD MU's. Again, a good thing in my book! While this may not be your cup of 300B tea, thought I'd chime in with a uniquely different taste available within the growing Ladyday family of sound.

please?
just add a grid choke/WE connection to the basic SRPP circuit and sprinkle liberal with Audionote silver everything, tantalums and load the PS with BG VK caps.

The big question is how much do the new versions improve on the old? The non-magnetic chassis and new OPT will make a significant difference, I reckon the 91 will be even better than before too!
Indeed, I also feel the makeover to the Lady will add positive benefits. I am in the process of ordering up a pair of the "new" Ladydays with the SRPP-CS circuit. Will report back with results.
