The SP-15 is based on the hybrid SP-11, with the line stage of the latter (with three 6DJ8s) replaced by a FET circuit. I don't think its circuit is at all similar to that of the SP-16, despite the similar model numbers - it came out almost fifteen years later. I haven't seen the detailed schematic of the SP-16, but I suspect it is a much simpler design.
