Yamaha T-80 problem

Posted by dogwan on November 15, 2016 at 21:41:56:

Recently my T-80 has been doing this thing at cold start. When I turn it on it is still on last station, but it's detuned by 0.2 mhz.

For example I listen to 101.9 a lot and when I turn it on after a day digital indicator says 101.9 but it is not tuned in. If I hit the tune button up to 102.1 it locks on to the station and all indicators show max signal strength in stereo. It's like the station moved up the dial.

If I quickly turn it off and then back on it goes back to normal and tunes in to stations on the correct frequency. It exhibits no more problems until the next time I use it. Kind of a pain, but not the end of the world.

Any idea what could be causing this?
