for the 6CG7True USA manufacture Raytheon 6CG7 black plate are rare. This tube outperformed all other USA manufacture 6CG7s. The tube is ultra clear sounding and well balanced across the audio range.
NOS is about $30-$40 now (2016) and used vary all over the place. I much prefer NOS as the tubes have balanced sections. Used have for the most part very unbalanced sections. I suspect the circuit the used tubes were used loaded one side of the triode much more than the other side. So, only purchased balanced used tubes with high readings.
