Well, Kevin... I've had issues with JJ output and rectifier tubes for some time now. Arcing, poor fit to OEM sockets, poor tone, unstable idle bias settings--- just for a few problems. The only JJ output tube I still consider is the JJ 6V6S. Because it is a little tougher than other newly made 6V6GT's. But, not for the tone.

I haven't used a JJ rectifier tube in a good 2-3 years.
