I believe the push-pull tweeter on the 1D only has one driver element. The push-pull driver has the magnetic structure in front and behind the voice coil. In order words, the voice is 'sandwiched" between magnets.The same technology is also employed for the latest MG-20.1 The idea is to improve dynamic range and linearity of the driver near excursion limits.

It seems there is something not quite right with the schematic. It is the bass driver that should be twinned, not the tweeter. Perhaps the tweeter has dual voice coil but I doubt it.
