Out of the West...........

Posted by Awe-d-o-file on January 11, 2017 at 09:13:33:

It's Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theatre. I've posted before on how I didn't like westerns growing up. Bonanza and Gunmoke were one hour in color and sucked compared to early versions in black and white just like Andy Griffith did. It had a five year 150 episode run starting in 1956.

So I just saw this for the first time few weeks ago. It's really good and has the best actors guest staring in it by far. I've seen Edward G Robinson, Joan Crawford, Ralph Bellamy, James Garner, Walter Pigeon and Van Johnson.

Here's an impressive list of stars that appeared from the net

Claude Akins Movin On
Eddie Albert Lisa!
Martin Balsam Arbogast
Anne Bancroft Benjamin, did you get the room?
Robert Blake Nut job
Ernest Borgnine McHale
Lloyd Bridges Looks like I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue

OK that's enough.....Great list though

James Garner
David Niven
Lee J. Cobb
