There IS a "false morel" which can be a danger to a few, but those who have seen/eaten true morels aren't likely to mistake them.
Boletes? They're spongy under the cap instead of having gills. I could be wrong, but I have not found evidence of ANY varieties with this characteristic that are toxic. I have CERTAINLY found evidence from personal consumption that they can be downright tasty!
