Happy 88th Birthday Mr. Joe Grado!!!

Posted by mpathus on July 4, 2012 at 20:48:36:

Dear Mr. Joe Grado,
I'm wearing an original JG HP-2 that I restored (cosmetically) found in a thrift store.

Yes, a thrift store!! The best $3.50 I've ever spent - (this after years of delightful sound from my SR125's - these at full retail but worth every cent of course. : )

I was able to restore the HP-2 due to your exquisite craftsmanship (and service dept.) - from the leather headband pad to its machined components, they are perfect in design and function, and a delight to listen through and look at - a treasure!

I look forward to hearing a Grado cartridge some day, once I get my turntables up and running again.

Thanks for the years of outstanding critical sound listening due to your uncompromising and superb standards.

Have a blessed and HAPPY 88th Birthday, sir - and many more.
