yeah I was stationed in the DC area in the late 80's; early 90's when he was hitting the National scene and introducing go-go music to the Nation. Too bad it never really caught on like I would have love to seen; It ultimately get over shadowed and couldn't really compete with the emerging gangsta rap maddness that was hittin' the scene around that time.
Even still, it was a refreshing alternative. Go-Go: wasn't really hip-hop, wasn't really soul, but man could it move! I just utube'd 'Bustin' loose' and I didn't realize it came out in '78; wow that was a long time ago; I was all of age 18..
