Dynaco 400 left channel crackles when furnace cycles

Posted by ttone007@gmail.com on December 28, 2010 at 09:44:28:

Hello Folks,

I'm a longtime audio engineers and I have two beloved Dynaco 400 amps in my set up. I have done lots of tweaks and repairs on them and they are very stable and great sounding. They both have the Vishey Dale resistor mods done to them.

I notice both of my amps (in two different locations) are subject to a low level crackle when the furnace cycles on. The crackle is in the left channel only on both amps. We have hot water radiator style heat and the momentary low level crackle happens when the furnace flu damper opens.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike in Mount Prospect, IL.
