Not much to add to the two previous and excellent reviews apart fom to state that I have been using this turntable since 1998 and its offered me excellent trouble free service with great looks to boot!

I find the sound to my ears to be easy, warm, detailed and with a great sense of timing and space. The Notts Analog dealer who sold me the unit second hand informed me that the 'space' reference in the TT's name is a reference to the great space in the soundstage that the TT's achieve. I can see why.

When I first bough the table I compared it to the next TT up in the range the spacedeck. Granted that the two TT were wearing different stylus however, I still felt that I could discern different charcterisitcs to the decks with the spacedeck sounding more detailed and dynamic and the interspace sounding warmer and deeper. With the interspace being quite a bit cheaper and my then student status I went for the interspace. A decision I've not regretted.

Not being inclined to write anything near an informed review I just wanted to share to any other interspace users out there that I have discovered a number of tweaks that have made a big difference.

The first being that the oil that Notts Analog supply can be improved upon. When I first purchased the unit they supplied a fairly thick and regular looking oil which had a very nice warm sound. They subsequently sent me their latest oil which was a bright orange colour. I found this oil to be very thin in viscosity and likewise it made the sound very thin and brittle. Having discussed the situation with my dealer a long time Notts Analog dealer he reccomened an oil supplied by Loctite called 'super lube' which is a multi synthetic lubricant with Teflon. This oil to my ears is a fantastic improvement over the other two oils and was a great step up. I have read elsewhere that some people are concerned that Teflon can gunk up the bearing. However, I can't say that I have noticed any deteriation in the 4 years that I have been using this oil.

The other tweaks are more mainstream and just apply to the Rega RB300 that I use i.e. Incognito cabling and the Heavyweight counterweight both of which have been fantastic mods.

Finally i have been informed that this TT may be discontinued soon and replace by the Horizon. Which I think would be a shame as the Interspace is a very very attractive looking package for the money.

Product Weakness: May soon be discontinued
Product Strengths: Great trouble free operation and warm, deep and detailed sound.
