for the Beethoven

Once these speakers are fully broken in, it would be hard to imagine anyone being dissappointed. Although they are not the ultimate in all areas, they really don't have any weaknesses.

I have them setup along the long wall of my basement room (15x24) approximately 13 ft. apart and toed in so that they should intersect just behind the listening position. Listening chair is against the wall.

The speakers are 2.5 ft. from the front wall and about 5 ft. from the side walls. They are particular about positioning.

The Beethoven's image extremely well. They present a wide soundstage and give sufficient depth in their presentation. Instrument separation is outstanding. The bass is very solid with a punch. Although they don't reach the lowest octaves, they were more than sufficient for my listening tastes. If you are into really deep bass, you might consider a good sub. The midrange is sweet, crystal clear and reminds me somewhat of electrostatics. The highs may be slightly rolled off at the very extremes but, again, very good sound. Very musical.

I have owned a variety of speakers (Magnapans, Quads, Sonus Faber and others). This is the most musical and most enjoyable speaker I've owned. You find yourself listening to the music, not analyzing it. It is well worth taking the time to audition.

Product Weakness: Very particular about positioning.
Product Strengths: Precise imaging, solid bass and outstanding midrange. Involves you in the music.
