for the Grand Piano Home
Good overall presentation, very smooth, relaxing. Midrange to die for. Perfect for intimate sessions such as vocals, string quartet, solo instruments. Musical expression can be extremely emotional. Not so good treble performance. Although not compressed dynamically, I couldn't hear the full spaciousness of a large hall, the reproduction is a bit shut-in in comparison. Cymbals lacked shimmer, bells lacked vibrance, trumpets lacked brightness, high strings lacked edge... these instruments seemed too tamed or shy than normal.
Overall bass was richer than normal, but this can be a virtue for some audiophiles.
Dynamics was very good, though.
This product is not for me, but many will appreciate its virtues.
