for the Stentor III
This is truly in-home bass response at its best - definitely "Class A". Whether you're talking about power, speed/accuracy, slam, depth, etc., the Sten III is your huckleberry. If you're looking to spend anything close to the $5k. range, do yourself a favor any try to stretch your budget to afford the Sten III.I've owned 8 or 9 of the so-called "best" subs out there (Entec, ADS, Velodyne, B&W, VMPS, Vandersteen, M&K, Bag End, etc.), and none of them - not one - can hold a candle to the new "III" versions of the REL Stentor or Studio. The one that came closest was the old Entec I had, but it still wasn't as clean and true as this. BTW, the use of a good aftermarket power cord (I'm using Voodoo's "Dragon") is recommended, as it does make a positive difference.
This is my last subwoofer. 'Nuf said.
Product Weakness: It ain't weak! ;) It's also not cheap. Best price I could getfor mine was $4200., but it was worth every dollar, and worth the wait for delivery from Sumiko to the dealer to me. Product Strengths: Absolutely everything. The natural cherry finish is very well done, and matches the B&W Nautili wonderfully.
