My local Mac dealer had been telling about the new mac speakers for a while and one day I ventured in and there they were. After they were hooked I listen to them for a few minutes and decicded I would come back in a week or 2 when they were broken in, as they were not all that impressive right out of the box. About 2 weeks later I came in to hear them again now that they are broken in. The Bessel aray tweeters provide a great off axis sound as I moved about the room. The highs were very crisp and well defined and in my mind sounded resecptable. I listened to Sting's "Brand new Day", a favorite demo cd of mine and then I noticed something. The midrange went from laid back to forward in its presentation of "desert rose" Some of the midrange seemed to jump out while other parts of the midrange remained flat. The bass was tight, well controled and did not over power the rest of the sound. On to Cannon in D minor. This is where the LS-360's really shined. Everything was well presented with the exception of the midrange, as it tended to be a bit duller than I like. With "Bitches Brew" from Miles Davis, the presentation was similar. I would have to say that these speakers would apeal to the Mac fanantic while some listeners may not care for them at all. All in all, not a bad speaker if you simply love McIntosh speakers, but listeners with a critical ear may find many flaws and want to look elsewhere.

Product Weakness: Power hungery 4 ohm, not as defined in the midrange as other speaker at this price point.
Product Strengths: Fantastic off axis response, glass plate on tweeter looks cool.
