I bought these speakers two months ago after spending an afternoon comparing them to four other speakers: Tannoy R2 & R3, KEF Q35.2 and Monitor Audio Silver 5i. I tested them with Cyrus equipment.

I found the mids and highs to be clear without being harsh and the sound stage was the widest of the group. Detail and imaging was exceptional. Human voices had none of the muffled chestiness of the Tannoys but were not as bright and fatiguing as the 5is or Q35.2s. Bass is deep and more detailed than the R3s but at times it sounded thumpy and detatched.

Although the boxes are vinyl covered, they seem to be solidly built and look great with the grills off.

They are involving speakers that pull you into the music and provide real impact with acoustic music. They are not the most refined but were the best of the bunch that I listened to. Well recommended.
