These are very good speakers.
They image really well, are voiced on the warm and rich side, and reproduce speech real well.
It is IMPERATIVE to angle them right at you.
Dont worry, the superb dispersion wont screw up image width.
Mine took a good two weeks to break in.
The bass is lightning quick, the tweeter, super smooth.
The best feature IMHO is the woofers have their own volume control and cross over at 300 hz.
That allows you to get em way out from the rear walls for dipole like imaging without inducing thinness and lack of bass. I was concerned with this relatively high crossover at first, but it has turned out to be a real plus!
Out 4 feet from rear wall, the imaging can get delightful!
The Lovely Overtures sonically disappear, just like 801's.
I own the cherrywood version of this speaker, and it is beautiful.
Perhaps they dont have the last degree of transparency, or is it brightness?
I consider some so called transparent speakers bright, and these are anything but.
I listen to my system for hours at a time, with all kinds of music.
I am very happy with these.
I have been an audiophile for 25 years, I have owned everything you can think of from Quads to B&w 801-802, Vandersteens, Celestions, Electrovoice, ADS, etc,
I can only go on memory of past speakers I have owned, as they are long gone now.
But I will stick my neck out and say The Infinity Overture 3, Top to Bottom, are in the top 5 speakers I have ever owned!
These things are 94 db efficient Tube fans!
Plus the woofers are solid state, and internally bi amped!
So you can get tubey without the bottom going to shit!
I was an audio snob at one time, in the 80's.

I was brainwashed to hate Harman International.
Of course, at that time The Infinity IRS what was happening.
It was Politically correct to own Infinity.
Then when Arnie sold to Harman International, Infinity sucked!
IMHO, Infinity is a Better company today then it ever was under Arnie.
Harman International has the resourses to hire the best talent out there.
They are like the BORG on Star Trek, they assimilate and add to the knowledge of the collective!
The Overture 3 is a shining example of the power of Mighty Harman International.
What more can one ask for in a speaker?
They are beautifiul, affordable, image, play loud, tube compatable, great on speech, realatively un-colored, detailed yet smooth, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Long term musical.
If you can relate to this review, you can relate.
If you cant, oh well.......
