for the Audience 52
I bought these (52SE) off the 'net with the Stand2 speaker stands for $1400. These are very beautifully finish and the drivers used are top-notched (Esotec tweeter used in the SE model). I am using with Rotel amp and pre along with a Rega P7 TT source - this is my analogue system. Out of the box they were great - still breaking in and the bass is beginning to loosen up. I am using these in conjunction with a Dynaudio Sub20A - a nice match. Even though the 52SE has a great 6.5" driver the 10" in the sub just adds a bit more to the bottom end. With the sub I leave the plugs out of the 52SE monitors. Even though these are generic looking I love their sound - that is what is important. My other system consists of Rotel gear also and B&W speakers (N804). Three thumbs up. Very satisfied with the purchase.
Product Weakness: Not bi-wire capable Product Strengths: Great mids and highs - treble not harsh. Quality is second to none. Finish (cherry) is beautiful. Good, tight bass.
