for the ditton 15 xr

when i bought this pair it was on the back of hearing celestion pa gear previously in church (two 18" and two 12") and hearing celestion county speakers in a studio set up. my first reaction was "these don't sound very old" and this stuck with me up until today. the first thing you'll notice is their unrestricted bass output, they just seem to go down and sound round without losing too much timing on the kick drum. The bigger the room the deeper the bass (some people recon 25hz) and i think 30hz or more but handling the deepness rather than just coping like most modern speakers do. the treble is smooth but not warm rolling off at 16k and sounds lacking at first until your ears adjust then they just sound like tweeters and well blended with the woofer too. i couldn't believe that 30 watts @ 8 ohms were the actual rating of these powerfull stand mounts, their sound just seems to fill the room with ease and their sensitivity isn't even rated that high, neither is the cone all that stiff or light (have we gone backwards with speaker building ?). Just one more thing, don't use any old rotel stuff as it produces a slightly chalky sound in the treble with these dittons

Product Weakness: nothing really.
Product Strengths: build quality, %22real%22 low bass, none boomy vocals,
