I bought this as a back-up to my (MBL Transport #
/Audio Logic 24 DAC) in the event that either had to
go back for updates or whatever.
As with anything, as soon as you get it, you want to
make sure that it survived shipping. And, knowing
TRL's reputation, I thought it would be good.
Well, to my GREAT surprise, it sounded better than
what I was using! No kidding!
Immediately I had better dynamics, openness/clarity,
bass & high-freq. extension, etc. Truth is, I'm
hearing lots of details on my SACDs and cds that I've
never heard before. And, a total lack of digititus or
electronic-sound with high resolution and not at the
expense of naturallness.My system:
Magico Speakers ($100,000)
TRL GT 400
TRL GTP4
TRL SE75
CRL Cables
TRL Scully 280 Reel-to-Reel
I hear that next week, TRL will update their website
to include info. on their mod.
