I feel this preamp is the best I've had. Two preamps that I've owned and compared it to are the Krell KSL and the Audio Note Preamp Kit. The KTA is more neutral sounding. The harmonics of the music come through clearly. The detail is there and it's not fatiguing. I've enjoyed listening to CD's since I bought this preamp. Some systems add their own sonic signature to the sound of CD's-not the KTA.
