for the M-Zero

Just purchased a used unit on audiogon.

Nice "half sized" preamp. Heavier than my ARC LS7 and marsh p2000.

I ran the preamp through Mac MC40 monos and Mac 162. Speakers were B&W 602 and 603 respec.

This is s very musical preamp.
Low end could be better (and was bettered by the Marsh.
Mids were very smooth and voices life like.
Highs were non fatiguing. Absolutly no glare. Pushing the volume up was easy.

The ARC LS7 has a bit more "in the room" feel with music. The Marsh is a bit laid back with too much "shouty" glare. The AN falls in the middle. it is a very good pre for the price, but is a budget piece in the end.

Product Weakness: Lacks a bit of low end punch.
Product Strengths: Smooth, non fatigue easy sound.
