When I read the reviews of this procuct, I had my doubts as to wether something this inexpensive could actually improve the sound of digital sources. I found a used one for S150.00 & thought, what the hey, I'd give it a try. All I can say is that after listening to it for the past 3 weeks is "WOW". Supposedly this device eliminates high order harmonic distortion present in converting digital to analogue. I can just comment on the improvement it makes to CD's, especially poorly recorded ones. The sound loses most if not all of the characteristic digital "edge" or harshness, becoming more liquid & spacious. It seems to reveal more of the minute details in the recording. Bass becomes a touch fuller while still retaining good definition. Might soften some transients, however if it does, it does so minutely. All In all a BIG improvement in my opinion. Makes CD's much more enjoyable to listen to. Try it, I think you will be pleased.
