Although the Classe' may lack that extra 5% of transparency that a Pass X, Levinson, or Krell FPB posesses, it is also less than half the price of those respective amps. It also lacks the authoritative bass of these amplifiers.

However, to offset these minor shortcomings, the Classe' offers a smoothness and finesse that those amps lack. The CA-200 is very neutral, with a touch of warmth. It works best with neutral and bright speakers. Like other high-end amplifiers, it is conservatively rated, and is one of the few amplifiers that can double its power into 4 ohms.

Build quality is among the best in the world. It looks and feels like a piece of machined art. It runs warm and is completely silent. For the price, I don't think a better amp can be had. Only by spending at least twice the money can better performance be obtained
