I have a Thorens td 125 I purchased almost a year ago but haven't ever set up. The platter spins, but beyond that I'm not sure if it's ready to play. I have done a little bit of DIY work, but moving parts are a bit out of my league and I'd love to find a place to repair it. A quick google search and search of the asylum didn't turn anything up, so it would be great if someone who knows a place in this area could direct me somewhere (I'm at school in East Lansing). I'd be willing to drive a few hours each way to drop off and pick up the turntable, but I would rather not ship it anywhere...I don't trust my own packing skills enough.
Also, it came with a SME 3009 and a Shure v15 mkiii. I also have a Denon dl-110 on a Pioneer pl-12d (which is a pretty damn good table for $50 invested)...which would you guys recommend mounting on the Thorens (I listen to rock of many varieties, but no death metal, mainly indie and classic).
Thanks a lot.
