Show me where?

My Post :

The Cardas wire fixed the hash. I can believe that. I assume both the original wire and the Cardas were unshielded?

Now when you replaced that wire you disturbed it's placement right? Isn't it possible that the new Cardas wire is now out of some EMI/RFI field due to rework?

Is it possible a solder joint was invisibly defective and reheating fixed it?

Was there something else intermittent that was bumped and fixed when the wire was replaced.

There are many things to rule out first before we can legitimately say the wire by it's self fixed this problem. In broad terms simply replacing a tin/copper wire a few inched long with another will not cure an RFI problem. There are of course many factors that could be in play here. But it's not enough to endorse Cardas wire by it's self. More tests would be needed.

A good first start would be to put the old wire back and see if the problem returns. But yes I get it. You already bought the Cardas wire, the problem went away, I too would just leave it alone and enjoy the device!

Wheezers response:

Same unshielded and gauge wire.
Wire was replaced in the EXACT SAME PLACE, EXACT SAME SOLDER, EXACT SAME SOLDERING IRON, ROOM TREMPERATURE ETC.
JEEEEEEEEEEEZ. You're sounding like Jeff.
Stop cramming your pigheaded shit down our throats.
For a well educated guy your as pigheaded has Jeff.
Try the shit and shut the f*ck up already.
I'll buy it and have it shipped to you PM me your address and your needs.
Sound like a plan?

[end quotes]

I thought I offered some alternative reasons why the wire fixed his RF problem. I don't think anything in my post deserves being told to "shut the .... up". Pigheaded shit? Hows that? Investigating a problem fix that defies known theory. Is that being pigheaded?
