No I have not. Why should I? I have and do use teflon silver plated wire for mechanical and soldering reasons and I get it as cheap military surplus.

Again why should I spend the money to buy Kimber or Cardas wire? What is it supposed to do for me that Belden or other name brands don't?

Now I already know the popular answer. They claim improved sound due to a multiple of technical reasons and if I don't try it then how do I know it's untrue? But here's the difference. I am not a non technical audiophile. I have years of experience and the formal education in electrical engineering to realize these claims do not stand up to the laws of physics. Furthermore there is no credible documentation that enforces these claims either. While some of these claims are based on solid principles, they are twisted out of context. For example the timing issue. Sure it's a problem in the 100mhz range but hardly a factor at audio frequencies. Same for skin effect. The average non technical person cannot make that distinction.

To a person not educated or experienced in electrical engineering, these claims seem plausible and these people do not have the knowledge and resources to question such claims.

Look at it this way. Would a hobby chemist mix two well known chemicals together and analyze the result? Would an experienced chemist? No because the experienced professional already knows the result through theory and mathematics. The novice has not honed those skills yet.
