Good luck with the cable swap; it's not going to make a major difference. If you haven't already done so you might want to try the usual ground loop mitigations (power and pre plugged into the same power strip, power amp gains turned down and the preamp turned up, lifting the grounds, and possibly soldering up interconnects with a low impedance ground connection). Only drawback I've found going that route is the P3 starts to clip once you turn it up to a volume setting of about 75 or so.You don't say what you're used to listening to, but if it's a sub US $1k integrated the P3+A23 combo likely a fair bit more aggressive in the amount of detail it delivers. Parasound's sound is all about precision versus the more musical but less detailed delivery of something like an Arcam A90 (which I personally like for its open and transparent trebel but would never buy because I much prefer the A23's more controlled trebel and more powerful bass delivery).
