... as I have said before, I consider that the whole of western politics lurched to the right as soon as Thatcher and Reagan got down to business.
This made many centrists to look at the "left wing" party (ie Democrats) in a better light as their traditional party of choice (right wing = Republicans) sailed off over the edge of Planet Wingnut.
Many of the centre will be quite appalled by the "no such thing as society" attitudes once the glossy façade of "self reliance" or "choice" begins to crack.
