"-- The deep and abiding cultural traditions and humanism of Leibniz, Schiller and Beethoven (inter alia)."
You say humanism. I say super-humanism. What about the master race?
"The fine German hochschule and university education system."
Which was corrupted by Hitler through very bad ideas involving mind control, severe censorship and the teaching of hate towards non arayans. Of course, we know what this lead to.
"The patent unfairness (rapaciousness, really) of the Versailles Treaty."
When you're the focal point of a World War (1), the punishment is gonna be pretty severe. Was Versailles unfair? I think that's a matter of perspective.
"Hitler's economic recovery action plans, which worked to Germany's immense benefit."
You say economic recovery plan, I say enslavement, seizure of private property by the government, invasion of weaker nations and the booty that was taken from those nations. I'm not seeing the comparison to the New Deal.
"Again begging your pardon, but that was the Soviet Union's express goal. And who exactly fought against that menace? America? Britain? No; the only anti-Communist on the block was Herr Hitler"
Isn't it possible that had Hitler been a decent guy, and the 2nd World War avoided, Russian Communism would never have spread because it couldn't stand up to a unified front of the UK, Germany and the USA? Hitler fought too many battles simultaneously, and because of that, I don't see his fighting Russia being any different that everyone else he fought against. The guy wanted dominion over the whole world, and he wanted it in his lifetime. That's why he made the decisions he made. Also, let's not overlook the cold war and the efforts made by the UK and the USA during that time.
