If any American thinks Great Britain or Australia are anything but allies, they're out of their minds. As crazy as some of the posts on this forum are, I certainly hope that you don't get the impression that anyone thinks otherwise. I would be very depressed if Australians or the people of Great Britain viewed the U.S. or Americans as their enemies.
Each country's politics evolve over time, and swings from the left to the right periodically, and thus, I believe, all nations are bound to agree or disagree on issues more sometimes and less other times.
And, in any event, allies don't have to agree on everything. Just because one country may be very critical of the policies of another country does not make them enemies.
