McCain!
Clark, here I was worrying about how the press is going to crucify McCain over his off-hand "I don't know diddly about economics" remark.
But here comes Obama, averring after his "bitter small town Americans" remark that [paraphrasing] "That's not the first time I've said something stupid, and it won't be the last time!"
A sigh of relief was heard in McCain campaign headquarters immediately following this remark.
At least McCain can still say, "OK, so I said something stupid, but I won't do it again!"
What can Obama do, except contradict himself. No, wait. He can say "The 'bitter' remark was stupid, and remember that I said that it wouldn't be the last stupid remark? Well that was a stupid remark, too. And, by the way, stand by for more. I've got a million of them."
Gee ... YEAH! That's the TICKET! I can see it all now: We start referring to Obama as "HIS Hillariousness"!
