When these POTUS elections roll around, I again am reminded just how confusing and non-sensical the US Primary system is.
I got my paper ballot. Lot's of names on there. Four I liked, two of those I thought could actually do a decent job (and would make a great P and VP combo ticket.)
I settled on one and actually gave $100 to the campaign. Six (6) days later the sucker dropped out. I emailed the campaign Website to request a refund. Mailbox full.
Voting rolls around in my state, and most of the names on my ballot have bailed. I doubt any of them are returning remaining campaign contributions.
Too many dropouts too early in the game. The General election will be nothing but Plan B choices, as usual for me.
If we must keep this idiotic primary system, how about a lottery system every four years to select the dates of each States' primary election?
As is, I've lost nearly all interest and will have to note Election day on the calandar just to remember.
