Our two are very loving, sensitive about our moods, and have been a big comfort to me after the three surgeries:- in '15, and '16 (2).Since I got back from having the radioactive pellets put in, they have both sought to snuggle up to me, whenever I've been resting or sleeping.
Even when I'm outside under the pergola, where they are far more likely to seek the sun, and avoid the shade I want.
Selfish, couldn't give a shit? Not these two, nor any others we've had.
IMO&E, a lot of men, who _need_ a dog, seem to want to be fawned on. :-)!
LBNL I do hate dog-shit, in people's yards, and in the streets and parks.
