If it were ONLY football, I wouldn't be concerned.
But, you have 8th grade boys who know every wide receiver in the NFL but don't know in which century the Civil War was fought. That's a problem.
Factor in the greedy owners living off what amounts, in part, to a form of industrial welfare and there 'ya go.

Let's see. Owner makes Millions. Guy selling stuff at the stadium? maybe 10$ per hour and part time, at that.
