RE: If

While I appreciate the personal attention, I am not putting much faith in information coming the only country I can think of right now where people get rich when you get sick.

I proved the low carbs thing on myself many years ago. However I do admit I am not practicing what I preached anymore, I don't even use the seasalt much anymore.

One thing I noticed though is people who eat a diet of much carbs is that if they are not fat, they eat very little. Either that or they are quite active. you simply cannot feed a desk worker the same diet as a bricklayer and that is one of the biggest mistakes alot of people make.

Calories, BAH. That is only part of the picture. Another part is heredity. What they eat in India might not work for others. But of course that is politically incorrect. Politically correct does not mean true, in fact in many cases it is the other way around. Some people simply cannot handle certain foods.

So anyway, you win. Eat whatever you want. Me, I am getting old and as such have decided just to eat whatever. Pizza almost every week, pasta. Less green leafies. I still can't stand things like oatmeal, hominy grits and all that. I stopped drinking milk about 15 years ago and I don't know why it started bothering me, the virus in it now or the loss of the ability to digest it which happens to many people at a certain age. I do like good cheese though, romano, and I get the cheddar that is so strong that it smells like other cheese tastes, but without that acidy taste. not cheap, but good food never was.

I still avoid sugar though. I think it is poison. And it is in everything. Well everything prepared.

The point was more that people think they can just eat McDonald's every day and be healthy. and the fact is you do not get fat pound for pound eating fat, or even carbs. But I ate alot of bacon when I was losing weight and rebuilding cartilage, and don't let them tell you it can't be done, I am living proof it can.

But the US food pyramid is a joke. What they allow food producers to do is ridiculous. The fact is if you get 100 pounds of food out of a piece of land it has a total of so much nutrients in it. If you get 200 pounds out of the same land, in each piece of fruit or vegetable there is only half the nutrients. It takes a certain amount of time for lad to replenish itself and as I said, it is not so much what IS in the food, it is what is NOT in the food. And that is why people used salt when they stopped being nomadic. The land got played out. That is why the term "salary", the stuff was literally life.

How it came to be that some people had it and could then buy the time of those who didn't is pretty much the same story as gold. But gold is damnear useless. Silver is a good supplement, it aids the immune system. However if you take too much your skin literally turns blue.

So, anyone who wants to eat their Morton's table salt all the time and get a heart attack or stroke is welcome to do so. Personally, and here I am not putting this forth as fact, just saying it is a possibility, is that the anti-clumping agent they put in it is the problem, much more so than the sodium in it.

Logically, is it prevents it from combining with water, it could well be preventing it from being properly metabolised by the body, which is mostly water. In fact there is such a thing as sodium deficiency and one of the symptoms happens to be high BP. While that doesn't necessarily prove anything, it is certainly something to think about.

In the US, where people get rich off of others getting sick, do you really trust "them" ? Why do they put dentists on TV to recommend a brand of toothpaste ? Do they think dentists want to cost themselves money ?

Apply the same standard.
