I just spent a week up near Boise. NICE TOWN. Clean. And downtown has not ONE but TWO stores with untapped piles of VINYL. And used book stores to die for. Friendly bunch, and at least ONE world class burger stand.
It is a college town, too. If you must use VA facilities, they've got you covered, too.
Lots of green and running water along with PLENTY of accesss to outdoor activities.
Live in one of the Banana Belts and stay somewhat warmer in winter.
