Back in 1981 I eeded sinus surgery, surgeon wouldn't do it unless I didn't smoke for 2mths before and after. So I just stopped
Back then it was common to have one's own incinerator, and I burned the lot in that. Camels, Gauloise, roll-your own and the pipe tobacco. No one complained!
I didn't give it up, I quit.
Still hooked but. Get the itch when near someone smoking.
