Everything goes orange from the iron oxide, which is everywhere - in the rocks and soil.

In town, the iron ore ship loaders are just a few hundred meters away, causing every single thing you see and touch to be tinted orange.

Except the snow white mountains of salt. It's a perfect place for manufacturing salt by evaporation in huge square shallow ponds.
