she just would have broke your heart down the road though.That's the problem with any living thing but even tho they will die one day,I can't discount the monumental joy my two cats bring me by just having a couple of living subjects in my presence.They stay by me when I'm not feeling well and they keep me relaxed in tense moments.I don't need a 3rd cat tho..
My daughter still has the bengal and the abyssinian we got when she was just 12yo..She is 27yo now but she realizes their time is limited.She was going to leave Ritzie with me but I told her she shouldn't break the two up.
