A couple of years ago I was driving through Belgium in the rain as fast as my wipers would allow me which was surprisingly slow as the rain was heavy.
At some point a very new looking BMW shot past us at death-defying speed.
Few minutes later the traffic slows even further and narrows down to one lane.
Next thing I see is one wheel with a few bits attached in the overtaking lane followed by a guy frantically talking on his phone and eventually aforementioned BMW with the left rear missing.
No other cars seemed involved so I assume he got his car fishtailing violently and smacking his rear into the concrete blocks that made up the central division.
Very much like in your picture actually.
Once we realised that nobody got injured it was quite funny.
Especially since the guy looked like the proverbial BMW driver we all love to hate and was still wearing his sunglasses. Except the he was stranded in the middle of a motorway, soaking wet and newly carless.
