Takes a REAL man to fess up when he's wrong. Damned straight, SS.
As for the kids involved, well, their parents raised them a hell of a lot better than that, I'm sure.
Getting drunk and destructive, then lying about it, is (sadly) pretty common for young people, and always has been. But these young men need to remember they aren't 'kids', but instead are national heroes and represent some of the best of the United States of America's talented young adult athletes.
US Olympic champions acting publicly like arrogant, drunken frat-boy dickheads gives too much ammo for America's enemies and embarrasses the nation. If the young people have any class they will assume responsibility, apologize, ask forgiveness, and then quickly move on without future recurrences. Nothing monumental, just a stand-up response. It sets a good example, to replace the previous not-so-good one.
Because, whether they like it or not, champions are role models, and none more so than our young Olympic champions bringing home the gold to a proud America.
