RE: "Free" College

Yes, I, and everybody, know what you meant. I just wanted to see you say it. Let me put it succinctly:

The rest of us would be forced, through additional taxes, to pay for someone else's college education. Put another way: Yet another government program which forcibly takes money out of the pockets of many people who earned it and gives it to other people who didn't earn it.

As if that in itself isn't Socialist enough, you go on to write that a potential method of "repayment" would be to work for free.

Do some people actually think these are good ideas?

I could not even imagine going around the neighborhood asking people to contribute to my kid's college tuition. "Hi, you don't know me, but I live down the street. Would you mind contributing $50, $100, or $500 to my son's college tuition. It'll help to build a better America."

But that's EXACTLY what "free" college would do.
