I was given a 2008 Macbook in return for assisting someone with the set up of a new Macbook Pro. The Macbook was so old and slow that I decided to use Cloudready to convert it to a Chromebook. It's now running Chrome OS. It's OK for web browsing but that's pretty much it. You can only install software from the Chrome store. I was rarely able to find anything there I needed. The machine is gathering dust. It was an interesting experiment but I've moved on. Cloudready is pretty cool, though.
