Over here 'At the end of the day' and 'it's a game of two halves' are famously the most overused and annoying phrases of football pundits. ;-)
Currently I am enjoying Euro '16, especially since Wales finished top of their group and they haven't qualified for a major championship since the 1958 world cup!
Better still Wales were in the same group as England. :-)
Shockingly Iceland qualified at the expense of the Netherlands. You can't even grow grass for an outdoor pitch in Iceland and Icelands total population is less than the area of Berlin I grew up in!
Spain just lost to Croatia meaning that Spains first game of the knock out phase will be against Italy. I will be supporting Italy since I want to see them play Germany.
Germany has NEVER beaten Italy in a competitive match and they deserve another chance.
12th time lucky I hope!
