I was unaware of the $100 baggage charge and could not find reference to it with a WWW search.
Is the $100 a per flight charge?
I flew a lot from 2009 to 2012 and was pulled aside everytime for a thorough pat down, so doubt I would pass the $85 test.
Not a clue as to why I'm on "a list" and a friend who could run me and find out why said that running such a search would send up a flag just making matters worse.
As far as the TSA goes, I once came close to being grounded from a flight due to a clear plastic bag of quarters ($9 of the USA 25 cents ones) being present in my carry-on.
The TSA agent demanded to know "what are these?", to which I replied "are you a moron, or what?".
