Trisha and I are just now home for the Snowy Mountains. The Rangers told us that we were leaving just in time as the weather is turning to COLDDDDDD.
Stayed as usual at the Canberra Alpine Club's lodge at Perisher Valley.
Day one walked to Rainbow Lake - and found the original and subsequent water pipes down to the original Koszciusko Chalet? Early 1900s!
Day two we and three other walked the old Kosciusko Rd to - almost the source of - the Snowy River right 'on Kosciusko side'. > over 5 miles. Cold wind but very sunny, and I have an even redder nose.
Wednesday walked around Lake Jindabyne for about 3 miles return (it's a huge man-made dam), and acme upon a new exercise/play-ground for older folks.
When I find the camera in the stuff that we brought back I will upload some shots, of that spot and some scenery.
Warmest
