Targin / Endone is powerful and addictive stuff. Yet I find that a good meditation - once going - can feel pretty much as nice. Noting that these effects are self generated and thus more satisfying. (there's a hint there)

The reason why the opiates are so addictive, is that their chemical structures match-in-to our nervous system's evolved input sockets.

I managed the transition to no pain-killers last time. I've become pretty good at weaning myself off different medications over the years.

But, I will need to get more of this stuff to do that transition.
